An Introduction to Microdermabrasian With PMD*

Hello! Today I will be talking about the benefits of microdermabrasian and how you can achieve professional results from the comfort of your own home! Don't know what microdermabrasian is? Worry not! Nor did I until PMD got in touch, asking if I'd like to try their personal microderm system...

Gemporia Christmas Wishlist // Elegant Jewellery On A Budget*

When I see gemstones in jewellery, I automatically think 'nope, too expensive!' and move swiftly on. I can't be alone there, surely?! Good news though, I've recently been introduced to a new little gem (pun intended) online called Gemporia...

NYX Liquid Suede Review & Swatches

Today I will be telling you all about my new favourites, the NYX Liquid Suede lipsticks! When these were first released, they were plastered all over twitter. I have been lusting over 'sandstorm' since July 2015, but, sadly, they weren't available in the UK! In September, I was sunbathing in the Port of Barcelona, scrolling through Roses Beauty Store online (learn more about Roses by clicking here), when Liquid Suede™ appeared in the 'New In' section. You have no idea how excited I was. My boyfriend stared at me oddly as I squealed with delight. They sold out almost immediately, but luckily I was able to get my hands on 'cherry skies,' 'stone fox,' and the elusive 'sandstorm.'

Review: Style Lux Blackhead Removal Mask*

In the past, I have used a multitude of skincare products to try and ascertain the routine that works best for my skin. Having combination skin requires a careful choice of products, as the wrong ones can turn you into an oil machine or a flaky mess. Though I think I have found the products which work best for me in terms of cleansing, toning and moisturising, I still struggle with blackheads on and around my nose, and have never been sure how to go about tackling them. So, you can only imagine how pleased I was when Satu from StyleLux contacted me, asking if I would like to review their 'Blackhead Killer!'

Buonasera at The Jam, Chelsea: Restaurant Review

Buonasera at The Jam, Chelsea has been on my list of places to eat for ages. I've never gotten round to eating here because it's too far away from uni (Tottenham Court Road). Quite frankly, I'm lazy, and would rather eat somewhere in the Oxford Circus vicinity. I first heard about this restaurant when my boyfriend's cousin, Lucy, mentioned it, and it's stuck in my mind ever since. Since then, I just knew I would have to go some day. And that day was Friday, and it was fabulous.

50 Gift Ideas for Ladies

The festive season is officially upon us! Here, I have compiled a list of 50 gift ideas for the special lady in your life!

Maple Holistics Shampoo + Conditioner Review*

There is no better feeling than clean, silky hair in general, but especially after a long day of sweating out on the London Underground! I go to uni with clean hair and what do I come home with? Greasy, knotted hair, that's what! Lately, I've been using the Aussie range, but it hasn't been working for me at all. Not all products work for everybody, unfortunately. I hate the smell that Aussie leaves in my hair once rinsed (kind of like wet dog, believe it or not) and it leaves it looking rather lacklustre. So I was excited to hear from Maple Holistics (click here to learn all about who they are and what they stand for!) when they asked me whether I would like to try some items from their hair care range!

6 Blogs I Loved in 6 Months of Blogging

I've recently celebrated six months of blogging by purchasing a beaut custom design from Pretty Wild Things (read about that here). I thought I'd keep up the merry talk of this minor milestone, by sharing with you six of the blogs I have discovered and loved in my first six months of blogging! In no particular order, here they are:

5 Illuminating Concealers For Pale Girls

Being ultra fair can often make searching for base products that little bit harder. I've tried loads of concealers over the years, but there's one problem I always encounter, being so pale. My question to the majority of brands out there: if I am already the lightest shade possible, and I want a shade lighter to brighten and illuminate the under eye area, what am I to do?!

New Blog Design // Introducing Serena

Tomorrow, I will have been blogging for six months exactly! I have been tempted to throw in the towel many times along the way, but I'm so glad I didn't! I thought I'd celebrate this minor milestone by treating myself to a new, custom made template, and I couldn't have chosen anyone better to design it for me than the lovely Serena.

Could You Lose Inches With Shrinking Violet?*

Like most of the female population, I have some 'problem areas' which often get me down. For me, these are my stomach and my inner thighs. Both areas are a little flabby! It seems to me like even though we know the answers to all our body problems (a healthy, balanced diet and regular exercise), we more than often hunt for a 'quick fix' and are always bitterly disappointed when they inevitably don't deliver results.

    Tampon Taxing? How Bloody Disgusting!

A #TamponTax in 2015? How bloody disgusting (pun intended). Yep, that's right: today I will be sharing my thoughts on the recent 'tampon tax' debate and why we need to tackle the period taboo. Period.

The 'tampon tax' debate seems to be almost an annual event. Like clockwork, it rears its head, and raises age old concerns which can essentially be boiled down to the following: applying a tax to items used exclusively by females constitutes institutionalised sex discrimination in every sense of the term, and; tampons and sanitary towels are essential for women to function normally on a daily basis during their period. Essential. Essential. I.e. not a luxury! This is a controversial and unequivocally frustrating topic, and many question whether a tampon tax really has a place in the 21st century.

How to get American Beauty Products in the UK

If you're anything like me, you probably always want what you can't have, including beauty products from across the pond! Being a British beauty blogger with an endless feed full of Sephora and Ulta hauls can be more than annoying and I am forever lusting over the likes of Tarte, Kat Von D and Too Faced. In my first few months of blogging, my search for the Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation (review here) led me to something quite unexpected and very exciting. Some of you or most of you may well already about Roses Beauty Store, but for those of you who don't... thank me later!

Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Set Review

Zoeva is a fairly new, German brush and cosmetic brand that has taken the beauty world by storm. The Rose Golden Luxury set contains eight, hand-crafted brushes which have become a statement accessory for any beauty junkie's dressing table. These may make for the ultimate accessory, but how do they perform on a day-to-day basis?

My Switch to Witch This Autumn*

I've recently come back from holiday. Lucky me, right? Not when it comes to my skin! I think I'm the only person out there who comes back from holiday looking worse than they did before! My pores became clogged with sun cream (topping up the factor thirty on an hourly basis is a must if you're as pale as me!) and the amount of makeup I wore in the evenings certainly didn't help.

Is It Magic? Or Just Another Foundation?

In case you didn't already know, foundation is my thing. The search for perfect base products never ceases for me, and I am definitely willing to splash the cash when it comes to my foundation. I was therefore fairly excited in the build up to the release of Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Foundation, which was released in September of this year. This foundation has been five years in the making, and has been back and forth from the labs during that time, until Charlotte considered it to be 'perfect.' On the 8th September (I meant to upload this post way sooner, apologies!), I grabbed my coat and my best friend and made a mad dash for Selfridges to purchase it.

    Reflecting on... Summer 2015

I've always been a bit nervous when summer term ends, and it's time for a long break from school/college/university. I know how this sounds, and I bet I'm one of few who actually absolutely  dreads the summer. Let me tell you why the words 'summer holidays' feel me with anxiety...

    Primark Dress Haul

A fashion post, you say? That's odd. Yes, I know... I'm not really big on fashion posts. As we speak, I have just remembered why that is... hello insecurities! Don't get me wrong, I'm not overly body-conscious. I'm pretty happy with my appearance in general, but I have my insecurities just like everybody else, and the thought of putting full-length pictures of myself up online is slightly terrifying to me. But never mind, let's press on!

    Adios! Be Back Soon...

Just a quick post to let you all know, I will be on holiday from the 19th til the 26th September! I will have no means of contact for a week, but will be responding to all comments, emails and inquiries as soon as I am back in the country. For now, here's a pic of my 'holiday nails' and a copy of my itinerary for all those interested...

    Pegasus Live: My First Event*

A couple of weeks ago, I was almost squealing with excitement at the sight of my inbox, and let me tell you why! A lovely lady called Adrienne from Pegasus Beauty had contacted me with an invite to Pegasus' 'Healthy Beauty Showcase' 2015. I don't think I've ever replied to an E-mail quicker and was ecstatic to RSVP 'yes!'

    Lazy Lashes Review*

Back in July, I was lucky enough to work with OSI Cosmetics. As a fairly new company, they aim to provide their customers with high-quality makeup applicators and accessories which may be hard to come by or are overpriced on the market. They sent me these eyelashes as a little 'thank you' for working with them on the launch of their blog, which you can view here.

    The Liebster Award!

Hello all! I have recently been nominated for the Liebster Award by My Happy Little Place. Thanks for the nomination lovely!

I still consider myself to be a bit of a newb in the blogosphere, so being nominated made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Aren't bloggers just lovely people?! The aim of the Liebster Award is to spread some love and awareness for bloggers with less than 200 followers. Yes, I know... I'm kinda breaking the rules over here, as I have slightly over that number, but this has been deemed acceptable by my nominator, so let's do this!

Nail Tutorial + KISS nails review

A nail tutorial from me is both rare and unlikely, so I hope you appreciate this post, ha!

I have bitten my nails since I was fourteen and I've never been able to shake the habit! I have rubbish nails anyway and so I usually opt for acrylics to achieve the shape and finish I want. My local nail shop (Ciao Bella) is lovely, and the staff are amazing at what they do, but my debit card isn't so keen on the monthly manicures! A few years ago, whilst at college, I was forced to cut back on spending, but dreaded the thought of ugly nails! A friend told me about KISS nails and told me I should check them out.

Beauty Blender: Do you really need one?

Do you really need a Beauty Blender? Yes, yes you do. Done.

Just kidding! But seriously, I can’t ramble on for too long about this product, because there are only so many things you can say about a sponge at the end of the day!

Why I Got Into Blogging and What Took Me So Long!

Bit of a different post today. Unfortunately, not a very original one, but everybody has a different take on things, right? Today I’ll be talking about how and why I got into blogging, and what took me so long!

    Lipstick Lovin'

It's Tuesday, which is my 'chill day' as of late, and a little 'me time' is much needed! After a dentist appointment this morning, I took a little stroll to the shop to buy some strawberries and creme fraiche (and doughnuts. If I put it in brackets, maybe nobody will notice the unhealthy part?) and my copy of LOOK magazine before putting this post together.

Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation Review

I know, I know... not another foundation review?! I do use other products too, I promise, but if you read my reviews of the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and No7's Beautifully Matte and Stay Perfect foundations, you'll know how much of a foundation girl I am! I have been dying to write a review on this little gem ever since the Hermes lady handed over the package! I haven't been so excited about a product in a long time.

No7: Beautifully Matte vs Stay Perfect

So, if you read my review of the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation (click here to read) you will know that I am very much a foundation girl. For some girls, its all about the lashes or the nails, but I am obsessed with achieving a flawless base and am constantly on the hunt for the perfect foundation for me. Double Wear is one of my two favourite foundations and one of two that I will repurchase again and again. Today, I'd like to introduce you to the other!

    July Favourites

Okay, so I may be a little late with my July favourites, but its only the second week of the month!? I'd rather spend some time using the products I've bought this month so I can actually tell you a little about them! Here are some of the products I purchased this month which I feel deserve some acknowledgement:

    Skin Care Saviours

It's exam week for me which means stress, stress, stress! Unfortunately, stress doesn't have a particularly great effect on me or my skin. I thought I'd share this post with you to show you some of my skin care favourites when it comes to keeping breakouts at bay.

Just a quick post to say thank you to all the people who have e-mailed me and followed me on bloglovin' and instagram over the past couple of weeks. Must Have App for Photo Lovers

Here is a little review/mention of one of my favourite apps. If you're a photographer, or photo enthusiast, a scrap-book lover or a thoughtful-gift-giver, this one is for you.

I first discovered FreePrints when it appeared as a sponsored post on either Instagram or Twitter (my memory isn't that great, sorry!) and I was curious, so to the Google Play Store I went (this app is available to download, for free, on both the Google Play Store for Android and the App Store for Apple).

    Plus-Size Modelling: The Bigger Picture

Let me start by saying that this post is most definitely not an attack on Tess Holliday (pictured above) or on larger women in general. I am a huge advocate of the 'be who you want to be' way of life. I am far from a size 0 (or even a size 8), but I am happy. I have been on the receiving end of hurtful comments relating to weight, as well as more subtle ones regarding my lifestyle and food choices, but I have always been determined not to let them get to me. To me, being a UK size 12-14 is no big deal. Who cares? If I want to eat a Yorkie bar, I'll eat a bloody Yorkie bar, okay?!

    Summer Ballin'

My university 'summer ball' took place this weekend, so we decided to make a weekend of it and booked into the London Bridge Hotel. After dining at The Alchemist, we joined friends for drinks at The Temple Brew House before walking down to Victoria Embankment and hopping on-board the HMS President. All in all, we had a fab night, so I just thought I would share a few photos!

Brand Focus: B. Beauty ft. B. Creative Palettes

If you're looking for a does-it-all make-up palette, look no further.

    B. Beauty by Superdrug is relatively new on the beauty scene, and for a while, I walked past this brand every time I visited a store. However, they've recently launched a 'candy' campaign and collection, the products of which are really well presented. I'm a sucker for a great looking product; if it's aesthetically pleasing, I'm half way to buying it!

    Sigma Dupe: Glory-ous Brush Cleaning

Soap & Glory Massage glove. RRP £8.50. Available at Soap & Glory and Boots
If cleaning your make-up brushes is the bane of your life, then this one's for you! I don't particularly mind cleaning my make-up brushes; I love taking care of my brushes since I splashed out a fair amount on the Zoeva rose gold collection. What I definitely don't like is rinsing my foundation brushes for hours on end (slight exaggeration), just to wipe them on a lovely clean towel to find that orange liquid is still spilling out everywhere. Ugh.

    Estée Lauder Double Wear Review

Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation, available direct from Estée Lauder, Debenhams, Boots and Feel Unique. RRP £29.50
Okay, so there are probably a trillion reviews out there for this product, but one more can't help, right?

How was I sold this product? This product was sold to me as 'high-coverage, buildable and non-acnegenic.'
    Overall rating: 5/5
Important factors: may be unsuitable for those with dry skin

    Make Up and Brush Storage

I love seeing how other people store and display their products, so thought I would post a few pictures of how I store my make-up and brushes! I picked up this shelf unit, which is part of the LACK range, from Ikea for £50 last month. It matches my white floating shelf on the opposite wall and was the perfect size to fill the awkward gap in my bedroom (30x190cm).

New Dorothy Perkins Jumpsuit & Accessories

If you're looking to update your wardrobe and/or shoe collection at the moment, please don't overlook Dorothy Perkins! Dorothy Perkins has quickly become my first port of call when frantically searching for a new outfit. Their shoe collection is on fire right now, and they're all reasonably priced. They also offer student discount with a valid student or NUS card and accept UNiDAYS codes online. However, if you aren't a student, you can keep your eyes peeled, since Dorothy Perkins often have 20-30% off promotions in-store and online. So, following a splurge at the Tottenham Court Road/New Oxford Street branch the other day, here's what I managed to get my hands on:

    The Very First...

Okay so I'm new to this and have absolutely no idea what I am doing! I have been saying I will start blogging for ages but have never really had the time or the content. However, it's time to stop putting it off and try something new! I intend to bring you my views on my favourite products, along with some general thoughts and finds. Bare with me!
