My Switch to Witch This Autumn*

I've recently come back from holiday. Lucky me, right? Not when it comes to my skin! I think I'm the only person out there who comes back from holiday looking worse than they did before! My pores became clogged with sun cream (topping up the factor thirty on an hourly basis is a must if you're as pale as me!) and the amount of makeup I wore in the evenings certainly didn't help.

I was so excited when I was contacted by the lovely Amy, who asked if I would like to try Witch's newest skincare items. I have had the pleasure of trying out their gentle exfoliating face wash, overnight clearing serum and their infamous blemish stick.

Where to Buy
You can buy all three of the featured products from Boots, Superdrug, Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsburys or Asda. The overnight clearing serum usually retails for £5.99, the blemish stick at £2.69 and the scrub at £3.99.

Overnight Clearing Serum
I just love this concept. A product that requires zero effort on my part and works its magic while I sleep?! Yes, please! I have been applying this to clean, dry skin, just before bedtime for the past week. However, I've failed to notice any difference in the morning. This product feels lovely on the skin and smells good too, but I guess I just need something a little more heavy duty.

Blemish Stick
I know people who have been using this for years, but I have never actually seen beyond the box. My younger sister swears by it, so I was pretty excited to try it out. I had a small cluster of spots above my jawline, some on my chin and one between my eyebrows to tackle at the beginning of the week. I find this product a little strange, if I'm totally honest. I keep putting it on, and two minutes later, it's untraceable on my skin. Personally, I prefer something a little more heavy duty when it comes to fighting spots. My usual choices tend to sting on application, which, to me, says they're getting to work! However, I didn't feel much when I put this on, and after a week of using it, my spots haven't really died down at all.

Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash
Facial washes and scrubs are my faves when it comes to exfoliating. This product contains little exfoliating beads which are great for removing dead skin and working deep into your pores. The wash smells lovely and leaves my skin feeling velvety smooth. I have full confidence that if I used this twice daily for the foreseeable future, my skin would look a lot clearer.

To sum it all up, my favourite product from this range has to be the exfoliating wash. While I was a little disappointed in the serum and the blemish stick, the facial wash felt like it made a real difference to the feel of my skin! I think this range would be fab for those with sensitive skin, as all the products are so gentle. At the end of a week's use, my spots are reduced in size and appearance.

Let me know if you use any Witch skincare products and what you think of them!

  2. I used to use this range when I was younger! The blemish stick used to make me peel though (I think I was applying it way too often haha).

    1. Everybody says that! I think they need to work on breaking the assumption that it's a teenage range; these products definitely work for older skin too! I think the blemish stick is a bit hit or miss!

  3. I've always struggled with blemishes and have tried so many products but only one from Witch and I actually really liked it. I'll have to rediscover the brand and give them a go again!

    1. Same; I have such spot prone skin, and sadly it's just not something you 'grow out of' like some people assume. Definitely give the scrub a go!

  4. I used to use the Witch Stick religiously when I was a teenager! It could be quite hit and miss though, sometimes it worked miracles, other times not at all! Great review!

  8. I've never heard of this brand before. It's a bummer about the blemish stick because that's one of the items that sounded the most interesting to me. :]

  10. I'm kind of on a hunt for a new skin care routine products so I'll have to write these down as reference. Although in my country, there's about limited range of brands so I'd have to get some online. Makes me wanna try this though.

  12. These products don't sound too promising, but maybe you'll start seeing results later. It normally takes a month to really see the effects of a new skincare routine. xx
