Inside My Makeup Bag | Collab With Kirsty

Today's post is super exciting for me, as I am collaborating with Kirsty of kirstyjennifer.com. I discovered Kirsty's blog recently and fell in love with it! We got chatting after the #lbloggers Twitter chat one Wednesday and discovered that we actually have quite a bit in common; as well as both being bloggers with a keen interest in beauty, we are both studying law at degree level! Kirsty is a lovely girl, and I jumped at the chance to collaborate with her! In short, this post will discuss my current makeup bag choices, i.e. my on-the-go faves. You can find out what's in Kirsty's makeup bag by viewing her post, here.
To kick things off, I'd like to thank my good friend, Amber (Strawberries & Stilettos). She bought me this lovely Ted Baker makeup bag for Christmas 2014, and I just love it!

Believe it or not, I didn't have a makeup bag before this, but I pretty much use this weekly now! It's so handy for when I'm staying over at my boyfriends, for trips away and for long days when I know I'll need a little touching up. I always go for products with great longevity, so I don't tend to take my makeup with me wherever I go, like a lot of people do. Here are a few of the things that I do like to keep close by, though...

NYX Pore Filler Primer
A recent addition to my growing collection of primers, this has become a holy grail product for me. I'd go so far as to say that this is the only primer I'll ever need! It does exactly what it says on the packaging and (as the name suggests) fills pores effortlessly, creating a perfectly smooth canvas for the rest of my base products. I picked this up in Selfridges for £11.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
If you read my post '5 Illuminating Concealers for Pale Girls,' then you'll know I wasn't a massive fan of this concealer when I first purchased it. However, recently, it's grown on me. I'm loving this on the undereye area for makeupless days. I apply this with a slightly damp beauty blender.

MAC Lipstick in 'Stone'
I got this for Christmas after wanting for it ages, and I'm obsessed! This was out of stock for the longest while, and I was ecstatic to find out my sister had bought me it for Christmas. Perfect for that 'greige' look.

Too Faced Love Flushed Blusher
My sister bought me this for Christmas, also. It's in the shade 'I Will Always Love You,' which is coral in colouring. It's super pigmented, and requires a very light hand... I'm still getting used to it.

MUA Lipliner
I love MUA's lipliners because: a) they're only £1 (seriously... £1!?), and b) they have pencil sharpeners built into the lid, which is super handy.

Vichy Dermablend Foundation
I have a full review of this foundation coming up in a few weeks, including information about the coverage, the packaging, the price and where to buy, so I won't say too much now!

Don't forget to check out what's in Kirsty's makeup bag right now, by clicking here.

What's in your makeup bag right now? Any recommendations for beauty on the go?

    1. It does contain silicone, but feels a lot less heavy than the likes of Maybelline Baby Skin and Urban Decay Primer Potion. I find it to be very lightweight x

  15. I've always wanted a Ted Baker makeup bag! They're so cute :) and I was exactly the same about the Collection concealer, you can so easily over-do it, but it really is my holy grail concealer when you get the hand of it. Also, MAC lipsticks are just perfect. My fave is Velvet Teddy - obviously. Haha :) xx
