Valentina: Conscious & Sustainable Jewellery*

This month, Valentina became the most recent brand to be added to my ever-growing jewellery collection. When it comes to jewellery, I like to opt for a few statement pieces which I can wear every single day. Since receiving my beautiful butterfly charm bracelet, that's exactly what I've done - worn it every, single day, without fail! I am obsessed with this piece, and I've received compliments aplenty whilst wearing it!

Who Are 'Valentina?'
Valentina was founded in late 2015 to address the need for sustainable jewellery and accessories. The company prides itself on offering beautiful, customisable jewellery that stands the test of time. Valentina's very admirable goal is to reduce the amount of waste generated by the fashion industry. They have ensured that every part of their process is sustainable; all their products are built to last and are fully recyclable (since they're all hand-crafted entirely from metals and glass). Even their packaging is fully recyclable and 100% bio-degradable, right down to the bubble wrap.

I'm seriously obsessed with my latest find! This company is not only extraordinarily conscious of the environment, but they're also largely philanthropic! Valentina donates at least 10% of all its proceeds to charity. Each bracelet is connected to a specific cause, so each individual purchase carries with it a donation to a relevant charity. Since the company was founded, it has partnered with five charities: the Worldwide Fund for Nature (which helps to protect endangered wildlife and environments, tackle climate change and promote sustainable use of resources), Fauna & Flora International (who are helping to secure a healthy future for our planet, where people, wildlife and wild places coexist), the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, the Woodland Trust (who plant trees and protect woodland areas), and the Marine Conservation Society (securing a future for our living seas and saving our threatened marine wildlife). I think their ethos is brilliant and is what makes them so special and different. I'd much rather purchase a beautiful charm bracelet from Valentina, knowing about all the wonderful causes they support, than hand my money over to any of the other large, capitalistic brands.

The Blue Butterfly charm bracelet which I selected retails at a very reasonable £55.99 (way cheaper than a certain brand that springs to mind when I think of charm bracelets...) and comes in three different wrist sizes: 18cm, 19cm and 20cm. I went for 18cm, since my wrists are fairly small (measuring at 16cm) and it fits perfectly well. UK standard delivery (2-3 working days) is free (bonus!), or, if you're in a hurry. next day delivery is just £3. If you're an international customer, then there's good news for you too... standard global delivery is also free and takes just ten working days.

Valentina provides way more than just charm bracelets (though, they are my favourite product of theirs!). They also provide cuffs and bangles, but what I find really impressive is their stock of 'style packs.' Valentina stand by their goal of reducing waste and use of resources by claiming that they don't want their customers to have to keep repurchasing bracelets that they don't need or want. Instead, their fabulous bracelets are modular, meaning you can shake it up from time to time! Their style packs (themed sets of charms, minus the actual bracelet) range from £13.99-£30.99 and mean that you can totally transform your charm bracelet in seconds, achieving infinite looks!

As you can tell, I've fallen head over heels for Valentina's impressive collection of beautiful jewellery! I think the price of these charm bracelets means that they make for perfect presents for loved ones. I truly believe any lady would be thrilled to receive Valentina jewellery (plus, it looks way more expensive than it really is, so you'll be their new fave person).

If you'd like to know more about Valentina or to view their collection, please consult their website at www.valentina.fashion (click to go directly there!). In the meantime, I'd love to hear your thoughts below on your initial impression of this amazing company. Would you consider swerving some of the market-leading charm bracelet retailers in favour of a more environmentally friendly brand?

  6. I love that Valentina is so eco friendly and sustainable! With fast fashion now, it's rare to find a brand that hasn't gotten into that, and isn't too expensive either. Reminds me of the Pandora charm bracelets!

    1. Yes definitely! I find that jewellery of this calibre is normally very expensive and in some cases definitely overpriced!
