Birthday Beauty Wishlist

Okay guys - standard disclaimer here (since I've never really done a post of this nature): this is just a little bit of fun. Of course I do not expect anybody to shower me in expensive, high-end gifts; I just thought it would be fun to share with you some of the beauty items which are currently heading my lust-list. So here you go!

1. Okay, so not extremely beauty related, but this Diptyque 'Roses' candle has been on my wishlist since my little one burned out! My sister bought me the small version for Christmas, last year, and I fell in love with it. I've always had a thing for anything rose scented; I know some people find it a little old fashioned, but it's definitely up there with my fave scents. I'd love to have the big version, to store on my new dressing table.

2. Following on nicely from #1, Jo Malone's 'Red Roses' cologne has been on my wishlist for a fair few months now. I went to dinner at Camino, Kings Cross with some uni friends a while back, and one of them was wearing this. As soon as I smelt it, I just had to have it!

3. Okay, last mention of roses... or is it? (hint: it's not). The Body Shop British Rose collection has been in my sights since its initial release. I am a fan of The Body Shop's shower and skincare products; their grapefruit range has been my favourite to date. However, I've always put off buying bath and shower bits, as I have nowhere to store them. Since I'm moving out in just a couple of weeks and will have both a full bathroom suite and an en-suite, I think it's time to indulge in some in-shower goodies!

4. I promise, this is the last rose-related item on my list. I briefly sampled LUSH's 'Rosy Cheeks' face mask in their Intu, Lakeside store and it's been playing on my mind ever since. Again, I've never shopped at LUSH as much as I'd have liked, because I have had nowhere to put it all; but, now I do (eep!), I plan on going a lil' bit insane with LUSH products. I'd also love another pot of Mask of Magnaminty (see my review, here). If you read my review, you'll know that this product can do no wrong in my eyes. I could purchase this again and again and again and ag- you get the picture.

5. Up next on my list is the IT Cosmetics Your Skin but Better CC cream. I've wanted this since I saw Anna, of Vivanna Does Makeup, raving it about. This product really appeals to me, because it's a 'one-step base' in a tube, but it's still full coverage; I love the packaging too. I've never gone ahead and purchased this, because, until recent months, it has been tricky to get in the UK. It is now available on Beautylish, but it's quite pricey!

6. There are a few MAC goodies which have snuck their way onto my bday list, this year. The MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Setting Powder is a holy grail product of mine, and I hate being without it. Unfortunately, I recently ran out, and since it is so close to my birthday, I thought I'd whack it on the list. I've also been lusting after Lightscapade for quite some time. I swatched it in Williams & Griffin (Fenwick) in Colchester, and just knew I had to have it. I couldn't justify buying it for myself though, since I already have quite a few highlighters on the go, and I don't wanna be one of those beauty bloggers, who has an absolutely absurd (but totally enviable) makeup stash! I'd also quite like to get my hands on one of MAC's newer lipstick shades, 'Lured In.' I haven't bought it for myself as it's such a risky shade, and I'm not even sure if it will suit me! I've also added two MAC lip liners (the only lip liners I swear by) to my list, in Soar and Cyber World.

7. Next is Jeffree Star's liquid lipstick in 'Scorpio.' I purchased Dominatrix and Masochist a while ago. I fell in love with the formula and overall look, but unfortunately Masochist just wasn't for me, and I never wear it. I've learned to accept that pink lipstick just isn't my thing, and I usually just stick with vampy shades and browns and greys, which are more in my comfort zone. Scorpio looks sooo up my street. I popped this on my birthday wishlist, because I'd been unable to get it myself... it's always out of stock! However, a quick look whilst writing this post led to me noticing a restock and I caved and bought it (and 2 other shades) for myself! Oops YAYYYY.

8. I've never owned anything from Nars, but I'd like to! The two products I'd like to try first are the infamous Laguna bronzer (which I've read is perfect for more pale complexions) and the legendary Radiant Creamy Concealer.

9. My trusty pot of ABH dipbrow pomade is coming to an end, and my brows are looking a bit scruffier than normal, since I'm having to scrape it out the pot! I love it, and will definitely be purchasing my third pot, but I'd also love to try Brow Wiz for a little more precision. I love the shade 'taupe,' which is what I use in dipbrow, too.

10. I purchased Zoeva's En Taupe palette in Selfridges, while I was still at university, and I love it. I don't make use of it as much as I should, to be honest, but that's probably because the shades are quite similar to some of those in the Too Faced Natural Eyes palette (which is another holy grail product of mine, hence why I always reach for it first and leave my En Taupe palette sitting on the shelf). I'd love to get my hands on their Cocoa Blend palette, which features on Jasmine Talks Beauty time and time again (which speaks volumes!), as the shades are different to anything I own and I'd like to start experimenting with eyeshadow looks and move away from cooler tones.

11. I've had my eye on the Makeup Forever Paris Ultra HD foundation for ages now. I was wrongly colour matched to Y205 - Alabaster in the Debenhams by Bond Street station. I took a generous sized sample pot home with me and wore it to work the next day, where everyone commented on how pale I looked! I've been doing my research (you know how it is, gals), and I'm pretty confident that Y215 - Yellow Alabaster, is the shade I need to opt for, so now it's on my 'to buy' list.

12. Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish has become a bit of a cult product. Cult products always worm their way to the top of my list, because I generally trust that if that many people say it's fantastic, they can't all be wrong. I've never bought this before because it's the type of product I'd like to store in the bathroom, but if I did that at my parents house, my mum would chuck it back in my bedroom every day, and so the battle would commence.

13. Last up is an old favourite, and a perfume I've been missing in my life. Roberto Cavalli by Roberto Cavalli (great name, huh?) is so addictive and has been my go-to perfume, this year. Sadly, I've run out, so I'd love another bottle.

So there you go! Those are the products I'm currently lusting after; what's on your 'to-buy/wish list?'

    1. Thanks haha! I try to avoid high end products year round, as if you sit and add them all up, you could probably afford something more worth while, like a holiday. When family members ask me what I'd like for my birthday/Christmas, I take the opportunity to ask for high end things I've been lusting after!
